Soldiers Neutralize Two Terrorists in Plateau Operations

On April 4, 2026, soldiers conducted a military operation in Plateau State, specifically in the Wase Local Government Area, where they neutralized two suspected terrorists and arrested a suspected kidnapper. The operation, disclosed by Chinonso Oteh, involved a series of clearance missions targeting known insurgent corridors across Babangida, Adu'a, and Bokayi Village within the Dutsen Zaki Forest.

During the operation, troops engaged in a fierce firefight along the Babangida Adu'a road, leading to the neutralization of the two suspects, while others fled the forest with varying degrees of gunshot wounds. The troops recovered arms and ammunition at the scene, including a local fabric firearm belt containing 105 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition and 30 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition.

Additionally, troops stationed in Namu District intercepted four suspected terrorists based on credible intelligence regarding suspicious movements. During a subsequent search, they found 100 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition and dismantled a suspected hideout amid heavy fire, resulting in the apprehension of three out of four suspects.
