Isa, engaged in a heavy gun battle with suspected terrorists in Katsina's Kafur local government area. The operation, conducted by the Nigerian Army, resulted in the recovery of 529 rustled animals, including cows, sheep, donkeys, and motorcycles.

The troops acted on intelligence indicating terrorist movements in the area, believed to be led by Idi Abasu Aiki, the younger brother of a notorious bandit leader. Following the encounter, the soldiers pursued the fleeing terrorists, leading to the capture of some suspects in the Malumfashi LGA.
