Nigerian Army Rescues Two Kidnap Victims in Kwara

On June 3, 2026, soldiers from the Nigerian Army's Joint Task Force North Central, operating under Operation Savannah Shield, rescued two civilians, Mr. Temitop Samuel, aged 42, and Mr.

Moham Sani, aged 40, who had been kidnapped. The rescue occurred during a clearance operation along Gidan Dogo in Kwara State.

The troops encountered the victims while conducting an aggressive patrol, leading to a confrontation with the captors, from which the victims managed to escape. Following their rescue, the Nigerian Army provided immediate protection, medical attention, and psychological support to the victims.

They were subsequently transferred to the patrol base at Babanla for comprehensive care. The Nigerian Army reaffirmed its commitment to ongoing operations against criminal groups in the region and urged the public to provide credible information to support security efforts.
