Soldiers Rescue Kidnapped Victims, Arrest Gun Runner

Soldiers from the Joint Task Force Operation Enduring Peace successfully rescued two kidnapped victims in Plateau State and apprehended a gun runner in Kaduna State. The operation, led by Captain Chinonso Polycarp Oteh, involved coordinated patrols and stop-and-search efforts.

The victims were abducted at gunpoint on February 22, 2026, from Mansur Village in Alkaleri Local Government Area, Bauchi State. During the operation in the Kukawa area of Kanam Local Government, the troops made contact with the criminals, who abandoned the victims and fled into nearby bushes.

Ongoing efforts are being made to reunite the victims with their families. Additionally, in Kaduna State, troops deployed in Sanga Local Government Area intercepted a suspect identified as 36-year-old Vincent Ibrahim, who was allegedly conveying five fabricated rifles.

The suspect is currently in custody and undergoing interrogation. The operation reflects the commitment of the Joint Task Force to protect citizens and combat criminal elements.
