Troops Kill Six Kidnappers, Rescue Victim in Plateau

On February 17, troops from Sector 6 conducted an operation in Plateau State, resulting in the death of six suspected kidnappers and the rescue of an abducted woman. The raid took place at a criminal hideout in Angwan Boka, located in the Riyom Local Government Area, around 6:20 PM.

This operation was initiated following intelligence gathered that led to the arrest of two suspects on February 16, who were confirmed members of a kidnapping syndicate. The abducted woman had been held since approximately 6:00 AM that day.

The troops mobilized immediately to neutralize the kidnappers, engaging in an exchange of fire during which three suspects were killed. The operation highlights ongoing efforts to combat kidnapping and enhance security in the region.
