Soludo Appoints Prof. Animalu as HIV Diaspora Coordinator

Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State appointed Prof. Chinelo Ngozi Animalu as Special Assistant on state HIV diaspora coordination and development.

This announcement was made in a statement available to newsmen in Awka on Saturday. Prof.

Animalu, a US-trained doctor and infectious disease specialist, will spearhead initiatives aimed at mobilizing international resources and technical expertise to enhance the state's ongoing HIV response. She currently serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis and holds senior medical leadership positions within the Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare System.

Prof. Animalu has received numerous accolades, including the 2025 Healthcare Hero Award for community outreach.

This appointment underscores the Soludo administration's commitment to leveraging global expertise and diaspora partnerships to strengthen healthcare delivery and build a healthier, prosperous Anambra State.
