Soludo Appoints Prof. Animalu for HIV Diaspora Coordination

Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State appointed Prof. Chinelo Ngozi Animalu as a special assistant for HIV diaspora coordination.

Animalu will spearhead initiatives aimed at mobilizing global resources and technical expertise to enhance Anambra's HIV response. She will coordinate diaspora partnerships and develop sustainable, innovative approaches to support the state's healthcare programs.

Prof. Animalu brings over a decade of experience in clinical practice, medical education, research, and healthcare leadership.

She currently serves as an associate professor of medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis and holds senior medical leadership positions within the Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare system. She has received several awards for her contributions to community health and is set to receive the 2025 Healthcare Hero Award for her outreach efforts.
