PDP Warns Against Alleged Plot Against Governor Makinde

On Tuesday, the South-west leadership of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) held a press conference at the party's zonal headquarters, Adagunodo House in Ibadan, where they warned against an alleged fabricated plot against Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State. Chief Sanya Atofari, the party's zonal secretary, expressed concern over attempts to inflame political tension in Nigeria for personal gain.

He emphasized that Governor Makinde has demonstrated stability and unwavering commitment to delivering democratic dividends. The PDP leadership dismissed speculations surrounding an alleged impeachment plan against Makinde, insisting that no such process exists in the state.

They characterized these allegations as part of a calculated attempt to generate unnecessary political tension. Atofari urged Nigerians not to lose faith in democratic institutions despite current challenges, reaffirming the PDP's commitment to focusing on governance and stabilizing the nation.
