Southampton Boss Open to Joe Aribo's Exit Amid Rangers Interest

Southampton's interim coach, Tonda Eckert, has not ruled out Joe Aribo's departure during the January transfer window. Aribo, a Nigerian midfielder, has garnered interest from his former club Rangers.

Despite featuring in 32 matches for Southampton last season, Aribo's playing time has been limited this season, prompting transfer speculation. Rangers are reportedly keen on re-signing Aribo, who spent three successful seasons with the Scottish club before joining Southampton in 2022.

The midfielder's contract with Southampton is set to expire in the summer, with reports suggesting a fee of around £1.5m could see him return to Scotland.
