Hit-and-Run Driver Kills Man in Oyo State Incident

A yet-to-be-identified middle-aged man was run over by a vehicle at Orogun Bus Stop along the Ojoo/Iwo Road in Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State on Friday night, around 9 p.m. Eyewitness Iya Kadijat stated that the driver did not stop after the incident, which resulted in the victim's immediate death.

Another eyewitness mentioned that most shops were closed due to the weather, and the community was unaware of the victim's identity. They urged local authorities to evacuate the corpse to prevent environmental hazards and requested announcements on radio and television for families with missing members to check local morgues.

Olayinka Ayanlade, the Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed he would contact the appropriate authorities for the body’s evacuation.
