SSANU Urges FG to Resolve Salary Delays and Entitlements

The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), represented by its National President Mohan Ibrahim, has called on the Federal Government to promptly reconvene the renegotiation process regarding salary delays and outstanding entitlements. In a communiqué, SSANU emphasized the urgent need for the government to implement salary increments and ensure fair distribution of earnings among eligible workers.

The association condemned the persistent delays in salary payments, which have caused severe hardship for its members and their families, undermining morale and productivity across the university system. SSANU demands the establishment of a reliable and unified salary payment structure.

The union expressed that continued neglect of university workers' welfare and unresolved labor issues will no longer be tolerated. They warned that if the government fails to act within the stipulated timeframe, SSANU will not hesitate to initiate decisive industrial action to defend the rights and dignity of its members.
