SSDC Unveils Rural Energy Plan for South-South Region to Empower Communities

The South-South Development Commission (SSDC) has revealed a rural energy plan for the South-South region, led by Usoro Akpabio and in collaboration with the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) managed by Abba Abubakar Aliyu. The initiative seeks to empower people, bridge the energy gap, and create economic opportunities using renewable energy solutions.

The plan includes electrifying rural communities, powering agricultural processes, establishing renewable energy solutions for schools and health centers, and promoting job creation in the clean energy sector. Both SSDC and REA pledge full support for the project implementation, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and youth empowerment.
