Stakeholders Call for Probe into Ibas' Regime Mismanagement in Rivers State

Stakeholders are calling for a probe into the 6-month regime of Ibas, following an online conversation hosted by NPO Reports in partnership with the Iwadi Development Initiative. The speaker highlighted the mismanagement of the N1 billion allocated to the state by the Federation Account Allocation Committee between March and August 2025.

Ibas was appointed by President Bola Tinubu in March, declaring a state of emergency and suspending Governor Siminalayi Fubara. Fubara was reinstated after the emergency rule ended last week.

Adeyemi and Bazia emphasized the need for accountability and transparency in handling state funds, expressing optimism for Fubara's return to governance in Rivers State.
