Mbah Advocates for State Police Financial Autonomy

Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has called for financial autonomy and investment in technology for the state police to improve security services. He noted that the state has faced significant security issues, including violent crime, which necessitates immediate action and investment.

Mbah also pointed out the importance of a constitutional provision that guarantees the state police's operational authority while ensuring that governors do not abuse this power. He aims to reduce violent crime in Enugu State by 90% through these measures, emphasizing the need for a unified communication system among security agencies.
