Stella Oduah Secures APGA Ticket for Anambra North Senate

Stella Oduah has emerged as the winner of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) senatorial primary election for Anambra North, conducted on May 23. Oduah, a former Minister of Aviation and ex-senator representing the district, garnered a total of 22,076 votes across seven local government areas.

She defeated her closest rival, Primus Odili, who received 15,713 votes. The election was reported to have been conducted peacefully across 99 wards in the Anambra North senatorial district.

However, a statement from APGA's national secretary, Ejimofor Opara, raised concerns regarding the authenticity of some results circulated by aspirants, labeling them as incorrect and unreliable. Opara confirmed that the results were announced at the ward level and emphasized the need for any grievances to be addressed through the party's internal dispute resolution mechanisms.

The final tally showed Oduah leading significantly over other candidates, including Dr. Alex Obiogbolu and Sir John.
