Arewa Youth Group Urges End to Politicizing Insecurity

The Arewa Youth Group, represented by speaker Moham Salihu Danlami, held a press conference in Abuja on Friday, urging opposition politicians to cease politicizing the issue of insecurity in Nigeria. Danlami noted a troubling pattern of increased kidnappings, banditry, and arson that coincides with election cycles, emphasizing that this trend should no longer be ignored.

He acknowledged the security challenges faced by the country but praised the unwavering commitment of the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and the leadership of the Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, and Chief of Army Staff, General Waidi Shaibu. Danlami called for collective efforts to address these security challenges, highlighting the courage and sacrifice of the armed forces, which continue to inspire confidence among Nigerians.
