Youths Urge Politicians to Stop Exploiting Offa Robbery

The Offa Progress Youth Development Association, represented by Secretary Musharaph Babatund Abdulrauf, has urged politicians to cease the politicization of the Offa robbery incident that occurred on April 5, 2018. The group criticized the insensitivity of political actors who exploit the tragedy for electoral campaigns.

They highlighted the lack of adequate support for the victims and their families, noting that many have received little to no financial assistance or emotional care. Abdulrauf expressed concern over the government's priorities, emphasizing the need for tangible actions to aid survivors in their recovery from trauma.

The association called for direct engagement with victims and adequate compensation to prevent future tragedies. They stressed that the pain of the incident should not be used as a political tool, insisting that the focus should be on justice and healing rather than propaganda for political gain.
