Straka withdraws from BMW Championship

Sepp Straka has withdrawn from the BMW Championship due to personal reasons, as confirmed by his manager Butler Melnyk in a statement released on Monday. Straka, who has two wins this season and is currently fifth in the playoff standings, expressed his intention to compete in the Tour Championship.

He is also tied for sixth in the European Ryder Cup standings. The Austrian golfer finished tied for 17th in the event in Memphis last week and secured a sixth-place finish in the American Express Truist Championship.

Straka's decision to withdraw comes after Rory McIlroy also pulled out of the FedEx St. Jude Championship last week.

While Straka requested privacy during this time to attend to a family matter at home, he remains focused on his upcoming competitions.
