Army Arrests Five Over Stray Bullet Killing of Teen Girl

On April 4, 2023, a 14-year-old girl was killed by a stray bullet in her family home in Maiduguri, specifically in the Ngomari General Area. The incident occurred around 2:00 PM during a celebration involving the local government chairman's escort team, which engaged in sporadic gunfire.

In response to this reckless act, the Nigerian Army, under the command of Lt. Col.

Sani Uba, swiftly traced and apprehended five suspects identified as Muhammad Husaini (28), Abba Jiddu (25), Abba Kolo Moham (20), Ali Adam (20), and Nura Moham (18).
