FG Seeks Peace in Petroleum Sector Amid NUPENG Strike Talks

The Nigerian Federal Government, through the Minister of Labour and Employment, held a crucial meeting with a delegation from NUPENG, led by their President and General Secretary, to address the ongoing strike in the petroleum sector. The strike stemmed from a dispute between NUPENG and Dangote Group over the company's policy on unionization of its employees.

The meeting, initially scheduled for Monday, aimed to resolve the conflict peacefully. The Minister emphasized the importance of peace in the oil industry for the country's economy.

Both parties expressed optimism that the issue would be resolved amicably to ensure the smooth operation of the critical oil sector.
