Owen Oseni Excited by Super Eagles Invitation for Unity Cup

Owen Oseni, a striker for Plymouth Argyle, has expressed his delight at receiving a surprise invitation to join the Super Eagles for the upcoming Unity Cup tournament. The 23-year-old, born in the Republic of Ireland to a Nigerian father and an Ivorian mother, is eligible to represent Nigeria, Poland, or Ivory Coast.

Oseni will have the opportunity to link up with prominent players such as Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, and Alex Iwobi. He noted the significance of being called up to represent Nigeria, a country with a population of approximately 240 million, and acknowledged the competitive nature of selection, stating that probably 50 players would want to represent the nation.
