Maduka Okoye to Miss Friendly Against Jordan Due to Injury

Maduka Okoye, the Super Eagles goalkeeper, will miss the friendly match against Jordan scheduled for Tuesday due to a thigh injury he sustained during a training session on Sunday in Antalya, Turkey. The 26-year-old player, who is currently with Udinese, picked up the injury while training and will return to Italy to continue his treatment.

The head coach, Eric Chell, confirmed that despite this setback, the team will maintain its training schedule in Antalya. Other goalkeepers, Francis Uzoho and Adebayo Adeleye, are available for the match.

The Super Eagles, who are three-time African champions, recently secured a 2-1 victory against Iran in their first friendly match last week on Friday.
