Super Falcons Set for Friendlies Against Cameroon in 2026

The Nigerian women's national football team, known as the Super Falcons, is set to play against Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses in two friendly matches scheduled for February 28 and March 3, 2026. These matches will occur in Yaoundé, Cameroon, during the FIFA women's international window.

The friendly encounters are part of the Super Falcons' preparation for the upcoming 2026 Women Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) tournament, which will be held in Morocco from March 17 to April 3, 2026. The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) General Secretary, Dr.

Mohammed Sanusi, confirmed the arrangements, emphasizing the importance of these matches for the team's preparation to defend their WAFCON title. The Super Falcons are the reigning champions, having won their 10th title in Morocco last summer, defeating teams such as Tunisia, Botswana, Zambia, and South Africa along the way.

The General Secretary of FECAFOOT, Isaac Mandong, expressed excitement about hosting the Nigerian national team.
