Supreme Court Confirms PDP Unity, Says Wike

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, commented on the Supreme Court's ruling regarding the leadership issues within the People's Democratic Party (PDP). He affirmed that the judgment demonstrated that the PDP is a singular entity without factions.

Wike made these remarks during a press conference in Abuja, where he rejected claims of division within the party. He highlighted that the court's decision brought clarity to the situation and ended disputes among various groups within the PDP.

The Supreme Court ruled 3-2 in favor of the party's national meeting scheduled for November 15-16, 2025, which aims to create leadership support for Seyi Makinde. Wike criticized the PDP's ongoing internal disputes, despite being instructed to cease such activities, and pointed out that differing opinions among party members do not equate to hatred towards the party.
