Police Arrest Kidnapper Jibril Yunusa in Nasarawa Raid

The Nasarawa State Police Command successfully apprehended a suspect identified as Jibril Yunusa, 43, during a raid on a kidnappers' hideout in Gidan Akuya Village, Keana Local Government Area. The operation was executed following credible intelligence gathered by the command.

Upon sighting the police, Yunusa attempted to flee but was pursued and arrested. During the operation, police recovered an AK-47 rifle with an empty magazine and a locally fabricated rifle from the hideout.

In the course of interrogation, Yunusa confessed to participating in several kidnapping operations within the Keana area. The State Commissioner of Police, Shetima Jauro Moham, directed the intensification of efforts to track down and arrest other gang members who fled the scene.

He commended the professionalism and dedication of the police officers involved in the operation, reaffirming the command's commitment to combating crime and ensuring the safety of lives and property across the state.
