FCT Police Arrest Suspected Bandits' Logistics Supplier

The FCT Police Command, led by Commissioner Ahmad Mohammed Sanusi, announced the arrest of Yau Sule, a suspected logistics supplier to bandits, during a press briefing on June 2, 2026. The operation, which took place along the Abuja-Kaduna highway, resulted in the recovery of 81 rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition, 100 rounds of 7.62mm belt ammunition, and ammunition for a General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG).

Preliminary investigations revealed that Sule's sister, Maria Sule, is also involved in supplying ammunition to bandits. In a separate operation, three suspects—Umar Babangida (25), Adamu Yeti (22), and Yahaya Idri (24)—were arrested in connection with a kidnapping video circulating on social media.

The police utilized digital forensic analysis to identify and apprehend these individuals, who were found in military camouflage and armed with AK-47 rifles.
