Nasarawa PDP Chairman Adamu Bako Resigns from Party

Adamu Bako, the suspended chairman of the Nasarawa State People's Democratic Party (PDP), announced his resignation from the party in a letter dated April 15, 2026. Addressing the PDP ward chairman in Agyaga, Akwanga Local Government Area, Bako described his resignation as a painful but unavoidable step taken in the interest of peace and safety.

He emphasized the need to align with a political platform that reflects leadership principles and allows for a forward movement in politics, alongside supporting his mentees. Despite his resignation, Bako expressed his continued loyalty to the PDP, which he has held in high regard over the years.

His resignation comes shortly after his suspension from the party due to allegations of gross misconduct and anti-party activities, marking a significant twist in the ongoing internal crisis within the PDP in Nasarawa State.
