IATA Reports Slow Growth in Sustainable Aviation Fuel Production

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released new estimates showing that sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production is at 0.6% of total jet fuel consumption, with a projected increase to 0.8% by 2025. However, challenges such as high SAF prices, lack of policy support, and slow progress in mandating its use are hindering the industry's transition.
