TCN Partners with Afaka Youth to Safeguard Power Infrastructure

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with host communities to safeguard critical electricity transmission infrastructure. This commitment was emphasized during a courtesy visit by the United Progressive Youth of Afaka (UPYA) to TCN's Kaduna Regional Office.

The meeting, as stated by General Manager, Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, focused on enhancing the partnership between TCN and the Afaka community, promoting peaceful coexistence, and encouraging community participation in protecting transmission facilities. Engr. Nasir Mansur S.

Fada, the General Manager (Transmission) for the Kaduna Region, reiterated TCN's dedication to open communication and mutual respect with host communities. Abdulhafiz Yahya, Secretary-General of UPYA, praised TCN's Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives and pledged the group's support in protecting transmission installations.

TCN noted that the visit reflects the positive impact of its stakeholder engagement programs, which foster relationships with communities hosting transmission infrastructure and encourage collective ownership and protection against vandalism.
