TCN Announces Daily Power Outages in Delta for Maintenance

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced that power supply will be disrupted in several communities in Delta State due to maintenance work on the 132/33kV transmission substation. This maintenance exercise began on June 4, 2023, and will continue daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM until June 16, 2026.

The work aims to facilitate the connection of a bus coupler circuit breaker and to rehabilitate five isolating main busbars. During this maintenance period, several 33kV feeders supplying areas such as Effurun, Warri, Sapele, Osubi, PTI, PMSL Refinery, Enerhen, Isoko, Kwale, Otovwodo, Patani, Ughelli, Shell, Agbarho, Eku, Aladja, and Imoniyam will remain out of service.

TCN has assured residents and businesses that power supply will be restored daily at 5:00 PM, enabling the Benin Distribution Company to take over the electricity supply. TCN has apologized for any inconveniences caused by this ongoing maintenance exercise.
