TCN Schedules Planned Power Outage in Abuja for Maintenance

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) announced a planned outage at the Abuja transmission substation scheduled for Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Mr.

Ndidi Mbah, the General Manager of Public Affairs at TCN, stated that the maintenance is necessary to enable TCN's maintenance crew to carry out preventive maintenance on the 100 Mega Volt Amper (MVA) 132/33kV power transformer TR1 and its associated switchgear. As a result of this maintenance, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) will be unable to supply bulk power to customers in areas including Mpape, Maitama, Jahi, Life Camp, Kado, Fish Market, Idu, and Karmo during the outage period.

TCN expressed regret for any inconvenience the planned outage may cause to electricity customers in the affected areas, emphasizing the importance of the maintenance work to ensure continued optimal performance of the power infrastructure.
