TCN Schedules Planned Power Outage for Maintenance in Abuja

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) announced a planned outage at the FCT transmission substation scheduled for Saturday, from 9 AM to 4 PM. Mr.

Ndidi Mbah, TCN's General Manager of Public Affairs, disclosed that the maintenance is necessary to enable TCN's maintenance crew to carry out preventive maintenance on a 100 Mega Volt Ampere (MVA) 132/33kV power transformer (TR1) and its associated switchgear. As a result of this maintenance, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) will be unable to supply bulk power to customers in areas including Mpape, Maitama, Jahi, Life Camp, Kado, Fish Market, Idu, and Karmo during the outage period.

TCN expressed regret for any inconvenience the planned outage may cause to electricity customers in the affected areas, emphasizing that the maintenance is essential to ensure continued optimal performance.
