TCN Restores Shiroro-Mando 330kV Transmission Line

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), represented by Emmanuel Addeh, announced the successful restoration of the 330kV Shiroro-Mando transmission line, which was completed over the weekend following extensive repair work. Ndidi Mbah, the General Manager of Corporate Affairs at TCN, stated that the restoration significantly improves bulk power supply to Kaduna, alleviating previous constraints.

TCN noted that repair work on the 330kV Shiroro-Mando transmission line 2 is ongoing and will be completed soon, further strengthening network reliability. TCN expressed appreciation for the patience and understanding of its customers and stakeholders during this period.

Additionally, TCN's Kaduna region, led by Nasir Fada, is engaging traditional leaders in a campaign against vandalism and encroachment on transmission line rights-of-way. This initiative aims to address safety risks associated with illegal developments beneath high-tension lines, emphasizing that individuals encroaching on these areas do so at their own risk, as TCN will not be liable for accidents.
