TCN Restores 330kV Shiroro–Mando Line to Service

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) successfully restored the 330kV Shiroro–Mando transmission line to service on February 19, 2026, at 8:32 PM. This restoration followed extensive technical interventions carried out by TCN engineers, focusing on ensuring the integrity and reliable operation of the infrastructure while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.

The restoration of both line 1 and line 2 of the Shiroro–Mando 330kV transmission corridor significantly enhances Kaduna's capacity to transmit bulk electricity within its franchise area, improving network flexibility and strengthening the overall reliability of the national grid. The General Manager of Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, noted that this marks an important milestone in TCN's ongoing efforts to upgrade and strengthen the country's transmission infrastructure, ensuring a reliable power supply across the network.
