Experts Stress Teacher Training for Nigeria's EdTech Future

At the Nigerian Education Supply Summit, experts underscored the critical need for teacher training, digital learning, and enhanced school funding to propel Nigeria's EdTech future. Mr. Jamiu Tolani Alli Balogun, Lagos State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, highlighted the importance of collaboration between government and the private sector to ensure sustainable growth in education.

Dr. Adetola Salau stressed that technology alone cannot transform education without skilled teachers to integrate digital tools effectively. She also called for greater support for girls pursuing STEM careers, noting that women currently represent only 35% of STEM graduates.

Ndubuez Mbah, Enugu State Commissioner for Education, urged stakeholders to implement practical policies that can transform learning outcomes. The summit, attended by 250 school owners and administrators, emphasized the importance of innovative projects and partnerships to address financial and operational challenges in schools across Nigeria.
