NUJ FCT Honors Patrick Osadebamwen, Launches Trust Fund

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council, organized a Night of Tribute on Monday to honor the late Patrick Osadebamwen, a former Chairman of the council who passed away at his residence. During the event, held at the NUJ FCT Council Secretariat in Utako, Abuja, the council announced the establishment of a trust fund aimed at supporting the education and welfare of Osadebamwen's three children.

Comrade Grace Ike, the Chairman of the NUJ FCT Council, highlighted Osadebamwen's significant contributions to journalism, noting his work with Union Newspaper, Core TV, The Nigerian Tribune, and Kaftan TV. She emphasized the importance of reflecting on his professional legacy and reaffirmed the council's commitment to assisting the families of deceased members.

Additionally, Ike acknowledged the support from the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, and the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Mohammed Sanusi, for their prompt assistance in the evacuation of Osadebamwen's remains.
