NUJ FCT Mourns Dr. Jophia Nanker Gupar's Passing

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council, has expressed profound sorrow over the death of Dr. Jophia Nanker Gupar, an associate member who passed away after a brief illness.

In a condolence statement issued on Friday, the Chairman of the NUJ FCT Council, Ike, described Dr. Gupar as a compassionate and dedicated advocate whose contributions to the media community and humanitarian efforts will be remembered.

Ike noted Dr. Gupar's commitment to promoting justice, particularly for women and vulnerable groups, emphasizing her practical support in advocacy.

The NUJ FCT Council acknowledged her as a passionate defender of the less privileged, stating that her passing is a significant loss to the journalism community. Arrangements for a service of songs and burial are in progress, with details to be communicated to members.
