Tems and Ayra Starr Star in 'Children of Blood & Bone' Teaser

Nigerian singers Tems and Ayra Starr are featured in the first official teaser for the Hollywood fantasy film "Children of Blood & Bone." Tems' hit single "Me & U" serves as the soundtrack for the teaser, while Ayra Starr makes a brief appearance, marking her Hollywood acting debut. The teaser was shared by director Gina Prince-Bythewood on her Instagram page, @gpbmadeit, on Monday.

The clip showcases scenes from the film's production, including costume preparations and action sequences, with a caption expressing excitement for the upcoming trailer release. The full trailer is set to drop the following day, and the film will be in theaters on January 15. "Children of Blood & Bone," adapted by Paramount Pictures, stars notable actors including Viola Davis, Idris Elba, Cynthia Erivo, Damson Idris, Thuso Mbedu, Lashana Lynch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Amandla Stenberg.

The story follows Zélie Adebola, a young woman determined to restore magic to the West African-inspired kingdom of Orïsha after it was violently taken from its people. The film is based on Tomi Adeyemi's 2018 novel, the first in the Legacy of Orïsha series.
