Jannik Sinner Breaks Djokovic's Masters 1000 Record

Jannik Sinner, the Italian world number two, has set a new record by surpassing Novak Djokovic's ten-year record of 24 consecutive sets won at ATP Masters 1000 events. Sinner achieved this feat during the Miami Open, where he dismantled Frenchman Corentin Moutet with a score of 6-1, 6-4 in just 71 minutes.

This victory marks Sinner's 25th and 26th straight sets won, equaling Djokovic's previous record set against Damir Dzumhur. Sinner, who is a four-time Grand Slam winner, has shown remarkable form, winning the last two Masters 1000 tournaments without losing a set, including the Indian Wells earlier in the month.

He dominated the match against Moutet, winning 19 of the first 26 points and securing his fourth break point to end Moutet's resistance in the second set. Sinner will next face American Alex Michelsen in the last 16 as he aims to become the first man to complete the Sunshine Double since Roger Federer in 2017.
