Sinner Defeats Norrie to Reach Madrid Open Quarter-Finals

Jannik Sinner, currently ranked as the world number one, showcased his impressive form by defeating Britain's Cameron Norrie in straight sets, 6-2, 7-5, in less than 90 minutes at the Madrid Open. This victory marks Sinner's 20th consecutive win, following his titles at the Indian Wells, Miami Open, and Monte Carlo.

The match was significant as it allowed Sinner to reach the quarter-finals of the Madrid Open for the first time. The 24-year-old Italian will next compete against 19-year-old Czech player Vit Kopriva.

Norrie, who was aiming for his fourth ATP Masters 1000 title in a row, started strong but quickly lost momentum as Sinner broke him twice in the first set. Norrie managed to break back in the second set but ultimately could not maintain his performance against Sinner's dominance.
