Nigerian Church Attacks Politically Motivated, Says Boi Brigad President

Professor Samson Duna, the President of Boi Brigad Nigeria, has attributed the recent wave of terrorist attacks on churches in Nigeria to political motivations. Speaking at an end-of-year thanksgiving service where three individuals were invested as patrons of ECWA Goodnews Church in Suleja, Niger State, Duna highlighted the growing security challenges faced by the Christian community across the country.

He emphasized the need for churches to be security-conscious, noting that Christians should prepare themselves for hatred in the world. Duna called on the government at all levels to ensure the protection of innocent citizens, irrespective of their tribe or religion.

Earlier, Hon. Jonathan Vatsa, a former Commissioner for Information, Culture, and Tourism in Niger State, condemned the attacks on churches, describing them as an indictment on the government's failure to protect the people.

Vatsa stressed that there is no moral justification for seeking votes when the government cannot prevent such attacks.
