Algeria Reaffirms Support for Mali's Territorial Unity

Algeria has publicly reaffirmed its steadfast support for the unity of the Malian territory, categorically rejecting any forms of terrorism. This declaration was made by Ahm Attaf, Algeria's Minister of Foreign Affairs, in a statement released by the Algerian Press Service.

The statement followed a meeting with Elmedin Konaković, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, during his official visit to Algeria. Attaf emphasized that terrorism cannot be justified under any circumstances, highlighting Algeria's own experiences with the scourge of terrorism.

He called for strengthened national unity within Mali as the best deterrent against terrorism, asserting that such unity is essential for effectively combating this issue. The statement was also reiterated by Algeria's embassy in Nigeria, located in Abuja, reinforcing Algeria's commitment to Mali's territorial integrity amidst serious developments in the region.
