Terrorists Attack Borno School, One Dead, Classrooms Burned

On Saturday, around 6:45 PM, terrorists suspected to be affiliated with Boko Haram invaded the Government Day Secondary School in Kautikari, located in the Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State. The attack resulted in the death of one individual and the destruction of a block containing five classrooms.

Malah Kyari, the Education Secretary for Chibok Local Government Area, confirmed the incident, which also involved the burning of two classrooms at the Junior Secondary School. The Borno State Police Command, represented by ASP Nahum Dasso, verified the occurrence and stated that security forces were able to repel the attack, preventing further loss.

The area is now calm, with intensified patrols by joint security forces. Local sources indicated that the terrorists entered Kautikari on motorcycles and targeted the school, leading to the tragic incident.
