Seven Victims Rescued in Borno School Attack

On Monday, during an attack at Lassa Dai Secondary School in Askira Uba Local Government Area, Borno State, security operatives, including the army, police, and local civilian joint task force, rescued seven victims. The attack involved sporadic gunfire and the abduction of an unspecified number of students and women within the school premises.

Usman Tar, the Borno State Commissioner for Information, confirmed that efforts are ongoing to rescue the remaining abducted individuals, although the gender of the rescued victims has not yet been confirmed. The total number of missing students is still being assessed.

Nahum Daso, a spokesperson for the Borno State Police Command, stated that security operatives confronted the attackers to prevent a larger-scale abduction. This incident marks the latest in a series of assaults on schools in the northeastern region of Nigeria.
