Terrorists Use Keke Napep for Bomb Deliveries in Nigeria

Senator Ali Ndume, representing Borno South, expressed serious concerns regarding a new tactic employed by terrorist groups in Nigeria, specifically the use of tricycles, commonly referred to as Keke Napep, for delivering bombs. During a discussion on Channel TV, Ndume highlighted that these insurgents often utilize hit-and-run tactics and rely heavily on local informants to coordinate their movements within communities.

He noted that recent attacks have involved the use of commercial tricycles to transport explosive devices to targeted locations, indicating a shift in operational methods. Ndume stressed the importance of enhancing intelligence gathering and surveillance networks to counter these threats, as terrorists have been increasingly bold, sharing their activities on social media platforms.

He pointed out that the current security situation is exacerbated by inadequate intelligence and called for authorities to strengthen their efforts in monitoring and gathering information to protect citizens from these evolving dangers.
