The Balvenie Supports +234 Art Fair 2026 in Lagos

The Balvenie has announced its support for the +234 Art Fair 2026, which will take place in Lagos, Nigeria, focusing on inclusivity and the exploration of Nigeria's vibrant artistic landscape. The event, hosted in Victoria Island, aims to connect artists, collectors, and cultural leaders, reflecting shared values of craftsmanship.

The fair received 1,500 submissions, with 200 artists selected to showcase their works, particularly spotlighting creators from northern and eastern Nigeria. Tola Akerel leads the curation of the fair, aligning with Balvenie's philosophy of honoring tradition while nurturing new creative expressions.

The fair also features a month-long outreach tour across Nigeria, emphasizing mentorship for emerging artists. Notable artworks include pieces by Odunayo Michael and Femi Adeleke, among others.

The event will enhance the atmosphere with live performances, reinforcing Balvenie's commitment to celebrating authentic creative voices and craftsmanship.
