Sowore Critiques Nigeria's Political Coalition Ahead of 2027

Omoyele Sowore, a human rights activist, expressed strong criticism of the current political coalition in Nigeria, describing it as a gathering of individuals motivated by personal interests and a quest for power rather than the genuine interests of the Nigerian populace. In an interview, Sowore questioned the legitimacy of the coalition, arguing that it does not represent the true needs of Nigerians but consists of politicians seeking political control.

He pointed out that the coalition lacks authenticity and raised the question of why the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is not part of this alliance. Sowore also reflected on the coalition discussions from 2015, stating that they were not merely political maneuvers but were driven by the people's desire for change.

He emphasized that a real coalition is essential to effectively tackle Nigeria's current challenges as the country approaches the 2027 general elections.
