Iyabo Obasanjo Slams PDP, Backs APC for 2027 Elections

Iyabo Obasanjo, daughter of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, publicly criticized the People's Democratic Party (PDP), labeling its members as "idiots." She expressed that she does not regret her decision to leave the PDP and join the All Progressives Congress (APC) as she re-engages in active politics ahead of the 2027 general elections in Ogun State. Speaking on Wednesday during a feature on the current affairs program on EAGLE 102.5 FM in Iles-Ijebu, she recounted her experiences with the PDP, noting that the party often sought her support during elections but sidelined her contributions in the political process.

Iyabo Obasanjo emphasized that politics should be about the people and their needs, indicating her commitment to ensuring that the populace is carried along in political decisions.
