Nigerian Soldiers Arrested for Attacking Police Patrol Team in Shao

Three Nigerian soldiers were arrested after attacking a police patrol team in Shao along the Shao-Malet Expressway. The soldiers attempted to disarm and physically assault the police officers, leading to injuries sustained by PC Abdulganiyu Abdullateef.

The incident took place on December 23, 2025, with a manhunt leading to the arrest of the suspects. The police recovered a dagger during the operation, and the arrested soldiers are set to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Ilorin for further investigation and appropriate action.
