Three Electrocuted in Kaduna Due to Fallen Power Cables

On Saturday, a tragic incident occurred in Manchok, Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, where three individuals, including a two-year-old boy, were electrocuted due to fallen high-tension cables. The cables reportedly fell onto lower voltage lines supplying power to residents' homes, resulting in a power surge.

The two-year-old was electrocuted after touching a phone charger plugged into a socket when power was restored. A ten-year-old girl was also electrocuted while attempting to dry clothes using a metal pole outside the house.

The third victim, Rilwanu Musa, a driver, was electrocuted while handling an iron cloth. Sankyai Obadiah, the council chairman, confirmed the incident and urged the bereaved families to accept the tragedy in good faith, expressing condolences on behalf of the Primary Healthcare Centre in Manchok.

He described the loss of healthy children as immeasurable and emphasized the need for strength to cope with such a tragedy.
